It has been 50 Years since the significance of the Jesus People Movement of the 60's. This movement had a tsunami wave impact with the Good News spreading worldwide. Love was the answer and love was the message that changed the world, beginning in California, USA, with Lonnie Frisbee and Chuck Smith leading the way, reaching the unchurched and the outsiders, including the weird and the wonderful, who were dressed in all of the psychedelic colours of the rainbow. These weird and wonderful people were now coming into the Kingdom through a mighty outpouring of the Glory of God and His love. The Holy Spirit really had His way and God was free to perform miracles and see lives transformed into followers of Christ, coming from a lost generation to being a chosen peculiar people of God.
This is a three way convergence, of historic events like a three phase power voltage charge of the People of Light, His Kingdom comes and His will is being done on earth as it is in Heaven. Martin Luther Reformation - 500 Years, The Last Great Cavalry Charge - 100 Years and more recently, the Jesus Movement - 50 Years.
The Kingdom of God is advancing and we are all being called to get on board with the plans of Heaven by the gracious Father of lights, gracing us with His presence and power causing our spirits to become alive with the light of life. Jesus came in grace and truth and He is the light of the world, the Word of God being that saves mankind, so that we can receive His life and allow His light to shine in the darkness, reflecting the very image of Christ in us, the hope of Glory. The Man who was God among us, came down from Heaven to earth and became like us to save us and call us out of gross darkness into the Kingdom of His marvelous light.
Now I want offer another convergence from a revelation in the Word of God that brings to light the truth that sets us free. We enter through the door who is Jesus the great shepherd of our souls.
Galatians 2:20 King James Version (KJV) 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Here we have a powerful truth of the exchange of our weakness for His strength. Praise God we are not required to drum up righteousness and live to the perfection of the law in our own strength. God has made a way for us to apply faith and believe that our imperfections were done away with on the cross by Jesus. He offers in exchange of our human condition for His ability to live in the likeness of His resurrection life of victory. We are seated with Christ in the Heavenly Realms taking His image applied in our lives of a new creation Jesus People having His delegated Authority on earth. The second Adam has made the way possible after the first Adam lost our rightful place of Authority on earth to have dominion and be above and not below. The thief came to kill, steal and destroy our place of victory in life, but Jesus came to give us life in abundance. Hey the hippies and the drug addicts knew that they werent living in perfection and they couldnt make up a holy lifestyle by whipping it into shape. They knew that they needed a Saviour, there was no hope otherwise. It had to be real, it had to be a heart change, then it flowed out of them in naturally supernatural in love and peace in the light of life, which is Reformation, Revolution and Revival.
Now lets apply the Galatians 2:20 truth in convergence with Romans 8. You will see how this works.
The Reformation was the beginning of much more of Gods intention to see the Body of Believers rise up and arise shine, into His Glory which will cover the whole earth.
We are not Jesus. True, but He gave us His divine nature to partake in, so that we are conformed into His image daily, as we learn to yield to His Spirit and learn to love by partaking of the love of the Father. Yes it is a process. It is a battle. It isnt always easy. Yes we do fail. Remember He is faithful to His promises towards us and He ever lives to intercede for us, as He took on our humanity, becoming God with us, He is Immanuel, Jesus is God in human form. We got this perfection process thing going on. He promises that what He began in our lives, He will bring it to completion. If you are tired and weary and have lost your way, seeing no way out of your messed up life, know that it isnt all over. The faith step out and up is still being offered to you. Take His hand He will pull you up out of the lowlands. He has gone before us as first fruits of what is really available and true for us, He made the way possible where it is impossible. It takes a faith step to get up again and take hold of the process of identification into death of what kept us bound and depressed, placing it on the cross, which opens the way for the promised new life in the resurrection on the other side of the cross. It may not feel like it, it may not look like it, but just keep going and dont give up, dont ever give in, hold on, take hold of what He is saying to you and do the life by faith. This message is for me as well, I have been there and gone down into the sinking sea, felt a bit like a titanic sinking in need of a great deliverance, just like Peter, got my eyes off faith in Jesus and sank into my default human condition, tested by the waves and the winds of adversity. His words to you are spirit and they are life, ask, seek and knock until He speaks specifically to you and where you are at, sending His word that heals and delivers you. He loves you and gave Himself for you, you are a love investment that He wont let go, noone can snatch you from the His Hand. With His help you can be the best you possible.
By the Spirit we put to death the misdeeds of the body that we might live. We are reformed. Reformation is continuing. Reformation is happening. Reformation is the happening.
The Great End Times Charge of the Jesus People in the Light.
Acts 4 32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34 Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35 and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
